Page 2 and 3; No. 1: Mary Walker, widow of Dec'd, John Walker & others, --- at Law of Alex'r Walker, dec'd } Petition for Dower: And appearing to the court that James Walker, William Walker, Elizabeth Walker and Jeremiah Walker, ---- of the defendants in this case and infants under the ages of twenty one years & is ordered that their Brother John Walker be appointed guardian of the said infants and each of them (afraid?) to appear for & protect them in the premises. & this suit for & in their behalf and the said John accepts the said guardianships. No.2: In this case the defendant John having answered & the other defendants having also by their guardians the said John answering; and having in their said answer admitted the truth of the allegations (----?) & contained in the petition and admitted notice & a service of a copy of the petition: and the (course?) having been set down for (----?) by the counsel of parties upon the petition and answer & exhibits - The (James?) come on the head as aforesaid and it is ordered adjudged and decreed by the court that the said Mary recover her dower of and in said (---?) mentioned in the petition; and that awarded (--- ---?) do (---? from this court to the Sheriff of this County commiting him to Summon a jury of twelve (------------?), connected with the parties neither by (----?) nor affinity and entirely disinterested, who upon oath to be administrated by the said sheriff & shall (--?) (--?0 the said Mary her dower aforesaid to consist of one third (----?) quantity and quality of the said (---?), including the dwelling house and said land in which the said Alexander deceased dwelt next before his death & the other out houses and improvements thereon and put her into possession of the same. & that he return the said Court with the proceedings had & held under it the the next term of this court.

Brown and David Payner, --holders be and are thereby appointed to allott and layoff to the said Mary Walker widow relict of said Alexander, dec'd such part of the cash, stock and provisions aforesaid as will be sufficient for her support and the support of her family for one year and make due return thereof from under their proper hands & seals at our next Court. Know all men by these presents, That we James Walker and Jesse Sanders are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency, Jesse Franklin Esquire, Governor, Captain-General and Commander in Chief, in and over said State, in the sum of Five Hundred Pounds, current money, to be paid to the said Governor, his successors or assigns: To which payment, well and truely to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 21st day of December in the year of 1820 .
The Condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden James Walker hath made application for a License for a Marriage intended to be had and solemnized between him and Lucinda Tapscott of the County aforesaid: Now, in case it shall not appear at any time hereafter, that there is any lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage, then the above Obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. Page 2 and 3; No. 1: Mary Walker, widow of Dec'd, John Walker & others, --- at Law of Alex'r Walker, dec'd } Petition for Dower: And appearing to the court that James Walker, William Walker, Elizabeth Walker and Jeremiah Walker, ---- of the defendants in this case and infants under the ages of twenty one years & is ordered that their Brother John Walker be appointed guardian of the said infants and each of them (afraid?) to appear for & protect them in the premises. & this suit for & in their behalf and the said John accepts the said guardianships. No.2: In this case the defendant John having answered & the other defendants having also by their guardians the said John answering; and having in their said answer admitted the truth of the allegations (----?) & contained in the petition and admitted notice & a service of a copy of the petition: and the (course?) having been set down for (----?) by the counsel of parties upon the petition and answer & exhibits - The (James?) come on the head as aforesaid and it is ordered adjudged and decreed by the court that the said Mary recover her dower of and in said (---?) mentioned in the petition; and that awarded (--- ---?) do (---? from this court to the Sheriff of this County commiting him to Summon a jury of twelve (------------?), connected with the parties neither by (----?) nor affinity and entirely disinterested, who upon oath to be administrated by the said sheriff & shall (--?) Sealed with our seals and dated this 21st day of December in the year of 1820 .
The Condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden James Walker hath made application for a License for a Marriage intended to be had and solemnized between him and Lucinda Tapscott of the County aforesaid: Now, in case it shall not appear at any time hereafter, that there is any lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage, then the above Obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. Page 2 and 3; No. 1: Mary Walker, widow of Dec'd, John Walker & others, --- at Law of Alex'r Walker, dec'd } Petition for Dower: And appearing to the court that James Walker, William Walker, Elizabeth Walker and Jeremiah Walker, ---- of the defendants in this case and infants under the ages of twenty one years & is ordered that their Brother John Walker be appointed guardian of the said infants and each of them (afraid?) to appear for & protect them in the premises. & this suit for & in their behalf and the said John accepts the said guardianships. No.2: In this case the defendant John having answered & the other defendants having also by their guardians the said John answering; and having in their said answer admitted the truth of the allegations (----?) & contained in the petition and admitted notice & a service of a copy of the petition: and the (course?) having been set down for (----?) by the counsel of parties upon the petition and answer & exhibits - The (James?) come on the head as aforesaid and it is ordered adjudged and decreed by the court that the said Mary recover her dower of and in said (---?) mentioned in the petition; and that awarded (--- ---?) do (---? from this court to the Sheriff of this County commiting him to Summon a jury of twelve (------------?), connected with the parties neither by (----?) nor affinity and entirely disinterested, who upon oath to be administrated by the said sheriff & shall (--?) The Condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden James Walker hath made application for a License for a Marriage intended to be had and solemnized between him and Lucinda Tapscott of the County aforesaid: Now, in case it shall not appear at any time hereafter, that there is any lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage, then the above Obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
